PENCILS
We designed Høvel to be the best sharpener for any pencil. As it planes instead of twists, Høvel is able to be used on any size or shape of wood-cased pencil and will be far less likely to break your lead even when sharpening softer pencils.

Polishing your Høvel is easy. We love a good patina, but it can be nice to bring your sharpener back to its original shine from time to time
What kind of pencils can Høvel sharpen?
Høvel can sharpen almost any pencil. Its unique design allows you to sharpen any shape of pencil, big or small. And better yet, its planing technique means that you can sharpen soft pencils without breaking the core like a typical twist sharpener.
What is Høvel made of?
Høvel is made of solid machined brass and its blades are made of carefully selected carbon steel. The packaging is made of card and is 100% recyclable.
How resistant is Høvel?
Høvel is designed to last a lifetime, and the brass will patina with time and use. Høvel can be easily polished using Brasso to bring to back to its original shine.
IRIS
MEASURING
Gauge the diameter of your circle by referring to the engraved marking on the top face of Iris
CENTRING
Use the included Iris walnut base as a centring tool by placing it inside Iris's inner edge
GRIP & STAND
Iris features a deep engraved patter to aid with gripping its top surface. When not in use, use the centring tool as a stand to give Iris pride of place on your desk.
What does the scale measure?
The Iris has a metric scale to measure a circle's diameter. It will measure any circle between 3-70mm in diameter.

STRIA
ADJUSTING RESISTANCE
Use the included thumbscrew to tighten or loosen the resistance of Stria's dovetail hinge. Store it in your Høvel when not in use

What units are on Stria's scale?
Stria has metric and imperial measurements on opposing sides. Unfold Stria to 30cm / 11.8in.

Production
All our products are designed in our London headquarters. Production mostly occurs in Shenzhen, China with some suppliers in the United Kingdom and Japan. All products are then delivered to our warehouse in Swindon, United Kingdom where items are checked and then shipped to customers across the world.
