Makers Cabinet × Etchr — Brass Palette: Classic Edition

We’re proud to share a new collaboration that’s been quietly taking shape in our studio: the Makers Cabinet × Etchr — Brass Palette: Classic Edition. Designed by us, Makers Cabinet, for our collaborators Etchr.

Etchr approached us to create a premium, lasting watercolour kit that would inspire creativity anywhere. Drawing on our experience crafting tools for artists, we designed a ceramic palette housed in precision-folded brass, engineered to endure years of use. Every detail was considered: from the robust piano hinge and secure latching lid, right down to the geometry that feels balanced and satisfying in hand.

As many of you know, we have been hoping to create a watercolour set for some years. Some of you answered a survey and even joined a Zoom call to provide insight into a watercolour set design. Over the years, all this research has converged into this design. It combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design to create a sturdy, compact and lasting tool. A perfect field companion that is elegant on a desk, dependable in a backpack, and ready for any plein-air landscape.

Etchr are now running pre-orders for the Watercolour Set on their website. We couldn’t be happier to see this collaboration come to life, a testament to thoughtful design and the shared belief that artists deserve tools made to last a lifetime.
